Cherolyn Knapp is a partner at the law firms of Nelson, Watson LLP in Guelph, Ontario and Wolfe, Smith & Forster LLP in Fergus. Before becoming a lawyer, Cherolyn worked in human resources, non-profit and business management roles, after which Cherolyn entered law school at the University of Ottawa and graduated cum laude in 2003.
Cherolyn’s litigation practice includes employment, human rights, commercial, estates, property, breach of contract, construction and family disputes. A passionate problem-solver, Cherolyn assists clients to resolve disputes through negotiation and mediation where possible.
Cherolyn is president of the Wellington Law Association 2016-2018, a peer volunteer with Immigrant Services Guelph-Wellington, and a member of various steering committees related to equality for equity seeking groups. She is a dynamic public speaker and is frequently invited to present on the topic of women and negotiation.
